My top 10 makeup products

My top 10 makeup products.

PSX_20160407_141656This post is about the 10 items I reach for the most on an everyday basis. I feel like my makeup routine is mostly based on my preference of that beautiful, natural and glowing skin. That’s why a lot of the products are concealers and light foundations. I struggle a lot with dark circles and I like to conceal as much darkness as possible without it looking to unnatural concealed and corrected. There is a real trend at the moment with colour correction and a lot of the big makeup companies are coming out with correction products. That’s great but I still think that you have to remember, that it’s another layer of product on the skin. In a normal daily life, with going to work or school it will quickly look very made up if you colour correct every part of your face. That’s just my personal opinion.

Starting from the base I do love the moisturizer from Embryolisse, Lait-Crème Concentré. It took me a while to get on the band wagon with this, but know it’s a makeup base essential. For my skin type which is dry espescially in winter, it just gives the perfect moisturized skin. The foundation/BB Cream put on top just glides on perfectly without crumbling up like some moisturizers can do underneath makeup. As I have mentioned before I like a natural looking skin, not a full coverage foundation for everyday wear. For days where my skin is looking good I use the Estee Lauder Enlighten EE Skintone Corrector. I bought it because I saw the Pixiwoo sisters use it in their tutorials. I really liked the appearance; the glow and the effect it had on the skin. It lets the skin shine through but adds a really nice glow to the skin. I really recommend this product! I use 01 light and the great thing about this product is that it doesn’t oxidize like other foundations (oxidize=gets darker through the day).

Actually the next product that I do reach for a lot do oxidize a little and I have to either blend in my Face Atelier zero minus foundation or sheer it out a lot when I apply it. But the 123Perfect CC Cream from Bourjois is a lovely foundation – it’s called a CC cream but it definetely gives a lot of coverage! Both product have correcting abilities which I like. Being fair skinned everything just turns up a lot on the skin – redness, darkness etc.

Next step for me is to conceal the under eye area. At the moment I have a lot of darkness in the under eye area. I bought the Maybelline Instant Anti-Age The Eraser Eye. I use it on the skin and buff it in to the area underneath and on the eyelid. Maybe because I’m as fair as I am I do need a second concealer otherwise the area around the eye would be darker than the actually skin. I go in with myM.A.C Pro Longwear concealer in NW15 and blend it out with either a brush or a dampened makeup sponge. Afterwards I dust my Hourglass Ambient Lighting Powder in Ethereal Light in the T-zone and a little bit to set the entire face.

To bring some life and dimension back I go in with some blush. I like a mixture of Makeup Geek’s blushes, Head over Heels and Honeymoon. Sometimes I add the Daniel Sandler Radiant Sheen Illuminating Face powder as a highlighter and on the eyelids.

At the end I put on a couple of coats of my Max Faxtor Voluptuous False Lash Effect Mascara buy here and I’m good to go.
